Product catalog

Products are organized by categories and type of processing.
Products are linked to a series of models with different characteristics. On the individual product pages, visitors and retailers can configure them by specifying characteristics and selecting options that may require other components. The component hierarchy is managed via JavaScript.
All characteristics and the hierarchy of options are managed through a control panel by the company.

Quote management

Configurations made on the site are saved in the database. Configurations are always assigned to a site user (company or retailer). If a configuration is made by a visitor, a notification is sent to the company, which manages the request and eventually assigns it to a retailer. At the same time, the software also notifies the agent of this event.
If the quote is accepted by the end customer, the retailer notifies the company by changing the status of the quote in their area.
Quote management includes other authorization and display processes. To mention the main one: agents only view documents relating to the retailers they manage, and individual retailers can only manage quotes within their competence.

Production documents

In case of a confirmed quote, the company completes the quote with additional information (for example, production times) and this information is notified to the relevant parties (agent, retailer, and end customer).
Finally, the software generates a document for the production department containing instructions for the manufacturing and packaging of the product.

Warranty management

Upon receiving the product, the retailer must activate the product warranty through their administration panel.
Product registration confirms the completion of product delivery procedures (mainly manuals and training) and activates the warranty.

Options and spare parts catalog

There is an options and spare parts catalog on the site.
An internal search engine (typesense) is installed in this section to allow easy searching of components. The search takes place in real time through the Algolia instantsearch widget and features both a free search field and custom filters.
The items on this page are filtered based on criteria established by the company for non-logged-in users.
Retailers, on the other hand, see the full catalog including prices and can order parts directly from the site like an e-commerce.
The payment process has not been implemented due to obvious business requirements.
